ACADEMIC EVALUATION PROCEDURE
The Institute will follow a continuous evaluation process. Generally
the following components are used for assessment:
- Quizzes
- Assignments / Projects / Case Analysis / Presentations
- Class Participation
- Tests
- End Term Examination
The faculty handling each course will decide the assessmen pattern and weightable
for each of the above components. Assessment through tests and end-term examinations
will normally constitute 50% of the total marks. End-term examinations for all
courses will be scheduled by the Institute and announced well in advance.
GRADE POINTS
SICOMS follows the grade point system for the PGDM Programme. The faculty award marks evaluating assignments,
quizzes and examinations, which are finally converted into grades.
The grading system is as follows:

CUMULATIVE GRADE POINT AVERAGE (CGPA)
CGPA is the weighted average of the grade points obtained in the course, where the credit of each course
constitutes its proportional weight.
CRITERIA FOR PROMOTION AND AWARD OF DIPLOMA

At the end of the third term, to qualify for promotion from the first year to the second year, a student
- Must secure a minimum CGPA of 2.0.
- Should not have more than two 'D' and one 'F' grade in the entire 1st year courses.

At the end of the second year in order to qualify for the award of PGDM, a student must have:
- A minimum CGPA of 2 (aggregate)
- A minimum grade of 'C' in Summer Project and Capstone Project, all functional and Super Competency electives
- Not more than four 'D's or three 'D's and one 'F' in the entire first and second year put together.
