- BSc (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Passed in 1988 with 79.33% marks and 17th rank in the university.
- MSc (Physics) from I I T, Delhi. Passed in 1990 with a CGPA of 8.37 out of 10.
- Qualified NET alongwith CSIR Research Fellowship in 1990.
- PG Diploma in Financial Management from IGNOU in 1996
- Diploma in Management from IGNOU in 1998
- PG Diploma in Marketing Management from IGNOU in 2000
Career Chronology
- Joined The Fertilisers & Chemicals Travancore Ltd (FACT) Cochin as Management Trainee in 1991.
- Worked as Stores Officer, Purchase Officer, Assistant Materials Manager, Assistant Purchase
Manager and Deputy Manager (Materials) in various divisions of FACT.
- Areas of practical exposure during tenure in FACT - Inventory Control, Receiving and Holding
Sections of FACT's Cochin Division Stores having nearly 33,000 different equipments, spares,
raw materials and consumables; Handled procurement of Equipments & Spares (both domestic and
imported) in a large process plant set up; Handled all aspects of bulk import of Ammonia,
Rockphosphate, Sulphur, Benzene, Cyclohexanone and Phosphoric Acid required for the entire
production of FACT; procurement of Packing Materials (HDPE Fertilizer Bags and Multilayer
Paper Bags for packing Caprolactam); Inland logistics i.e transportation of fertilizers from
Cochin to various destinations in South India, transportation of imported raw materials by road
and barges from Cochin Port to production units.
- Took Voluntary Retirement from FACT in 2004.
- Worked as Business Development Manager in Kerala Project Engineering Corporation Ltd,
Cochin from 2005 to 2007. Primarily responsible for providing basic inputs and support
for a number of project proposals like Fine Ore Beneficiation, Manufacture of Artificial
Sand, Wind Power Generation, etc. Was also Guest Faculty for MBA students of Mahatma Gandhi
University?s Off Campus Center at Aluva during that period.
- Joined Sadanam Institute of Commerce & Management Studies (SICOMS) as faculty in 2008.
Presently incharge of MDP, FDP and Research. Handling classes in the areas of Production/Operations
Management, Shipping & Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Handled sessions on Logistics and
Inventory Management in MDP workshops conducted by SICOMS in 2008 and 2009.
